Chief Water Saver, DJ Patterson started his entrepreneurial career out of the trunk of his 1999 Ford Contour at age 18 and struggled to make ends meet. With hard work, consistency and a strong team, DJ built one of the most unique mobile detailing operations in the state in Oklahoma, EcoGreen Mobile Detailing. EcoGreen Mobile Detailing provides mobile, auto detailing services at your home or office and saves 100 gallons of water per cleaning using a water-less car washing system. EcoGreen’s innovative washing system is eco friendly, conserves water and eliminates contaminate run-off from flowing into Oklahoma streams and rivers. DJ's passion for growing his team, exceeding his clients’ expectations and his heart for our environment is undeniable.
DJ is a long time member of the Tulsa Regional Chamber and was voted onto the Tulsa Small Business Connection Board in 2016. Being on the board has strengthened DJ’s relationships with other local entrepreneurs and has given him a platform to advocate for small business and entrepreneurship in the Tulsa community. DJ was awarded the 2016 Crystal Star Award - Entrepreneur Success Award by the Tulsa Regional Chamber in 2016.
DJ has gone from working alone out of the trunk of his car at EcoGreen’s inception in 2010 to seven full time employees and three fully equipped mobile detailing trucks that are brilliantly wrapped in his company’s brand in 2017. DJ’s most valuable contribution to EcoGreen is pouring into his staff of seven full time team members. The EcoGreen team was built on a firm foundation of trust, quality, stewardship, professionalism and teamwork. They fully reject the term “just auto detailers”. Instead, they intentionally schedule time away from the field to improve their leadership skills, work on personal development and team building. DJ is constantly keeping his hands-on skills at the highest level possible in order to train and educate his team on the best and latest practices of the ever changing auto detailing industry. He takes frequent trips annually to training facilities and trade shows around the country.
DJ states that, “Saving water is great but our efforts are nothing if we aren't doing anything with the water we save.” This is why DJ is partnering with Water4 to help eradicate the water crisis around the world. He is working to fund projects that teach water stricken communities across the world how to drill and maintain their own water wells. DJ is truly a pioneer in the auto detailing industry.
